Artists talk

Randall Sinnamon, known at least to NAS ex-students. He lives at Jervis Bay, is very community-minded and to my mind a wonderful artist.

When Randall was at National Art School (NAS) he made the giant crucified ape that was vandalised, and the dog that got stolen in his final year at art school. He did lots of drawings and sculptures of chimps for his end of year show. He also organised social events at NAS.

Opening night

Camouflage Artists

Opening night was nice and full of people, despite our raising fear "that no one was coming"
"This is a good show, and I am honored to open it!" said Randall Sinnamon, guest speaker for the opening.
"It's a great show!" added Terrie Leoleos, Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra manager.
Camouflage Exhibition opening at Project Contemporary Artspace was also a great place for many of Illawarra artists to enjoy wine and Upsinth, get a bite to eat and catch up with friends.

In a world which is crumbling under economic pressures the questions of identity through material worth are being challenged by both Eastern and Western cultures. The ever present struggles of uniqueness and homogenity are observed by a range of artists born in the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Southern Italy and Australia for the creation of the Camouflage Exhibition.

One week left and all up on the wall

It is only few days left and I will be at Project Gallery again, not doing lights for some one else. Interesting that it was way too hard to stay on the theme for me this time, the more I thought of Camouflage, the more open I wanted to be. The series of portarits definetely are not going to be on it. I have just finished couple of works and trying to keep my hands off them.
